Some Haslett Band Booster volunteer opportunities include:

Volunteer Coordinator

  • Help recruit volunteers for events and activities
  • Identify volunteer openings and help recruit volunteers

Spring Concert Reception Coordinator 

  • Coordinate food, volunteers, and set up and clean up for reception that follows the spring concert in May

Command Performance Raffle Coordinator

  • Review rules for raffle
  • Develop and implement plan for raffle kick off at band camp 2020
  • Recruit volunteers to assist with process and selling of tickets

Scholarship Committee members

  • Review, revise, and implement process for awarding HBB scholarships in spring.
  • Recruit volunteers to review applications.

Communication Committee members

  • Develop content calendar for events and when announcements should go out and by what platform, i.e., email, website, social media, paper.
  • Oversee and maintain collection of HBB documents and photos
  • Review policies and practices that may need to determine what needs to be in bylaws
  • Serve as resource at meetings and to board members
  • Review current HBB social media use and look for opportunities to develop and expand as appropriate

Century Resources (“cookie dough”) Coordinator

  • Serve as primary contact for the middle school bands cookie dough sale fundraiser
  • Arrange for publicity
  • Collect and count orders
  • Recruit volunteers to assist with distribution at winter middle school concert

Mattress Sale Coordinator

  • Serve as primary contact for the mattress sale fundraiser
  • Arrange for publicity
  • Recruit, coordinate and supervise student volunteers

Marching Band Uniform Co-coordinator

  • Assist with fitting students for marching band uniforms
  • Review inventory and schedule mending, repairs and ordering of uniforms
  • Maintain records of students and their assigned uniforms
  • Recruit volunteers to assist with uniform distribution and collection at events

Concert Band Uniform Co-coordinator

  • Assist with fitting students for concert uniform and order supplies as needed
  • Review inventory and schedule mending, repairs, and ordering of uniforms
  • Maintain spreadsheet of clothing and students
  • Recruit volunteers to assist with fittings

Solo & Ensemble District Event Coordinator

  • Work with band directors and volunteers to organize event hosted at Haslett High School
  • Recruit lead volunteers for different activities as well as volunteers for those activities
  • Oversee event

Marching Band Events Dinner Coordinator

  • Order main meals for VMB events
  • Arrange for delivery of food day of
  • Recruit volunteers to help serve
  • Recruit volunteers to donate sides, desserts, and paper products for meals

Middle School MAC Night Coordinator

  • Complete reservation with MAC
  • Recruit volunteers to chaperone and donate food

All volunteers must complete a background check form and provide a copy of their driver’s license at the HPS Admin Building.
